Hi! The whole history of the Czar family is so interesting. But what i don`t
understand is how did Anastacia survive? They had jewelry in their corsets,
yes, but maby they buried the body of Anastacia an other place... They found
the jewelry hidden in the corsets so, they proberly shot them one more time
or, maby not? The whole history is a big mystery, and i hope that they will
find out of it some day:)

It's sad. Dont you think. That people could kill an entire family, including
innocent children, in the name of revolution.

i have just finished reading a book called ' the last empress' a biography
on the last Empress of Russia, Alexandra Feodorovna..what a tragedy this
family suffered and how terribly sad their story..I,myself being Russian
Canadian, feel very stongly on this particular subject. In the Russian
Orthodox Church, the Imperial Family was canonized and so I end with this :
" Holy Royal Martyrs, Pray to God for Us"

I fournd your site very informative. Having read every thing I could
possibly get my hands on on the subject I found your site very knowledgeable
and user friendly. What a study this is and what a story of mans inhumanity
toward man. Thank you for bringing this site for the persons who don't know
the importance of the ipatiev house and its prisoners.

Vanesa Montacuto Chaminaud.
Your page is outsanding! I think it's very useful to people who doesn't know
anything about the last chapter in Romanov life.
My personal conclusion -I would not said "belief", for "belief" is
unscientific and I only believe in God and not in person or things- is that
Anna Anderson was Anastasia. I know that a DNA test has been performed on
her and said she was Franziska Schanzkowska. I did my own research with
anthropologues, forensic experts, geneticist, psychologist, psychiatrist, an
actor, Polish and Russian residents in my country (Argentina) and experts in
photography and I got amazing, truly amazing results. I thought that if we
want to know how thinks really are or were, we must undertake our own
research and not took only what we read in books or magazines. Primary
sources are the most important things to an historian.
If you are interested in my research, write to me. You may do it in English,
Spanish or French.
Vanesa.

Thank you very much for the information about the tragedy about the russian
family Romanov. I can confirm that I have a sigend paper from Prince
Sigismund from Prussia which stated that Mrs. Anna Anderson was a member of
the royal russian family and that he met her several times in Germany. In my
own opinion, Mrs. Anna Anderson is identical to the Grand Duches Anastasia
Romanov.
Best regards

Anastasia Romanov did survive the Russian revolution. I have no idea whether
she was Anna Anderson or not, but many pointers indicate she was.I cannot
comment too, on the authenticity of the medical/dna investigation done on
exhumination of the family gravesite in the Urals in the 1990's.
What I do know is that a British Secret service officer, acting in concert
with other British MI5 men in Russia at the time, and at the behest of the
British monarchy, spirited her out via Archangel in 1918. A Britsh
battleship was used to get her out of the country.
One of those British officers was Lt Col W.J.Clarke, OBE, my late
grandfather who took charge of the princess to the east of Archangel on the
Dvina river. He transported her across the snow, alone, on a horse drawn
sled to a the British battleship anchored in the White sea off Archangel.
This story is told in Col Clarke's hitherto unpiblished diaries which are in
my possession . Col Clarke was in fact a S.African military of

They suffered and died knowing all along that.. sadly.. that was their
purpose...To serve Russia.. to live...and to die for Russians in the name of
all things honorable for Russia... Humanity failed them, yet they failed no
one... . they are with God now.. God save the souls of those who harmed
them.. they are the only ones who need our prayers...and... do you really
think god would have allowed all to perish. . faith is a funny thing. you
either have it and need no explanation.. or don't. those who know.. know...
