congratulations on your fascinating website. I was very pleased to see
someone take the effort to provide documentation for fellow sympathizers of
the Romanov family and the legacy they left. My only wish is for a
contemporary film production be made by a Director with sensitivity (such as
the director of "Russian Ark" ) in order to convey the truth of the events
that unfolded to that tragic day.

I have a weird fascination of Anastasia and the other Romanovs....I feel
compassionate about their tregic death then again I do't think that Anna
Anderson is the grand duchess

I do feel very sorry for the Romanov family, I do not believe that they
should have been executed. But, the truth about the Romanov Czars is that
they were an extremeley wealthy who refused to help or even admit the
existence of poverty in their country of Russia. After the fall of the
Czars, many fled to America and Europe avoiding the fate of Nicholas and his
family. I hear many people say how sorry they felt for the Romanov family
members who fled and then lived as upper and middle class citizens instead
of the castles and palaces they were accustomed to. The Romanov family, did
nothing for their people or country, this is a well known fact that they
spent their countries money on jewels and living the high life. I am not
oppossed to the fall of the Czars, but also do not support the ultimate
execution of the Romanovs.

I too have wondered if Alexei might not have had porphyria rather than
hemophilia--or possibly he had both. Porphyria can make a person anemic,
although the anemia often can be cured today (not by taking iron or by
drinking blood as the CSI program insinuated in a disgraceful manner). I
have this disease and I speak from experience. I am probably related to the
Stuarts and got their gene, just by proximity of my family to theirs in
Scotland for centuries.

I concur with the comments regarding the invalidity regarding the supposed
DNA testing in relation to Anna Anderson. These test results would never
stand up in a court of law as the continuity of the supposed samples can not
be verified.

My name is Karla Rosabal Lacayo. I am from Costa Rica and I am 23 years. I
always liked and felt some sadness about the Romanov. Since I was a Child I
always read information about them and I don't know why.
Sometime I feel that I knew them, but you know it's impossible.
I want to know is someone feels like me.
Thanks, I appreciate this beautiful work in this web.

Anastasia? ¿Es tan deslumbrante la riqueza del Zar?

I think the life of Anastasia was very f*** up and wrong. They give her the
wrong blood test for one. An why would she know so much about what happen to
her family. If they were the only ones there when it happen.

I have always been fascinated with this whole thing. It almost feels like I
was "there."
I find it wonderful that we are able to "view" this particular history
through photography and documentation.
Documentation other than hearsay I mean.
It's like a fairy tale and an horror story combined of course.
Tragic.
